Vall de Núria, Girona.

Undoubtedly one of the best places to camp. Vall de Núria, in the Catalan Pyrenees, is a mountain resort of breathtaking beauty with landscapes and spots that will captivate you; camping in this area is a real luxury. It has a camping area during the months of May to October, and it is quite extensive. The place is perfect for going with your tent and connecting with nature during that getaway you have planned, whether with friends or with your partner.

Monte A Curota (A Coruña)

The north of Spain has incredible places to set up our tents and spend a few days of peace and harmony away from the city. On the Barbanza peninsula, on the northern coast of the Ría de Arousa, stands A Curota, a mountain 745 meters high. It is one of the best places to camp in the country. Despite this, it is advisable to contact the Town Council of A Pobra do Caramiñal, the municipality it belongs to, beforehand to find out the camping conditions.

Larraitz (Guipúzcoa)

This camping area near towns like Beasain or Ordizia is an ideal place to camp because you can do free camping or sleep in a motorhome. And if that weren't enough, the place is equipped with picnic areas and bathrooms. At the foot of Mount Txindoki, in the Aralar Natural Park, we can spend a night in a meadow near the car park. We must request permission from the Abalzisketa Town Council; it will be easy to contact them by email or phone.

Asturias.

To speak of Asturias is to speak of scenic beauty and gastronomy. A paradise for camping, without a doubt. In the Principality of Asturias, they are very used to receiving camping tourism, so it will be easy to find countless campsites with many amenities. The wild environment of the Perlora campsite, with its three magnificent beaches: Carranques, Huelgues, and La Isla, and with Gijón 15 kilometers away, is an ideal destination to pitch our tent. The Caleao area is also a true natural paradise located in the municipality of Caso.

Montmell Forest Recreational Area (Tarragona)

We cannot talk about the best places to camp without including this one. The municipality of Montmell has a recreational area prepared for barbecues and outdoor camping. It has toilets and drinking water, but no showers. The maximum capacity is 15 tents with 10 people per tent. To camp or use the barbecues, you have to pay €2 per person per night and €5 per tent per night, with a maximum of three nights. For children under 14, camping is free. A request must be sent to the El Montmell Town Council at least 24 working hours in advance.

You should know that wild camping is prohibited in Spain and there are economic penalties for those who practice it, but if you are one of those who like to practice camping under the open sky, without a tent, or wild camping, you will have to review the ordinances of each municipality because each one has its own rules and we must respect them.

It may be allowed in some places, but we must meet a series of requirements. In the case of Aragon, wild camping is allowed above 1,500 meters of altitude, or in the Pyrenees Natural Park only from 2,000 meters up the mountain. As you can see, you have to be very careful.
